a. Enabling students to develop and build up correct and fluent foreign language ability, together with practical skills of professional foreign language that combines international perspective and global vision so as to become foreign language talents pursued by tourism industry, English education industry, commercial business related fields, and government organizations and institutions.

b. In order to strengthen the pragmatic capability of the students while enhancing their employment competitiveness after graduation, our department has established the one-and-only “professional language lab” which is used as the examination room of TOIEC and GEPT in Penghu County. We have also founded some specialized classrooms such as educational & training center for foreign language guiding interpreter, English remedial curriculum & instruction consulting and research center for students from remote areas, English practice teaching for tour guide and escort, and English language laboratory for practice teaching.

 

English language (reading, writing, listening, conversation, grammar, and rhetoric), English pronunciation phonetics, business software packages, English for multimedia, language and cross-cultural communication, English for science and technology, second foreign language (Russian, Japanese, French), simple Spanish conversation, English for tour conductor and practice, English for finance, business English correspondence, English for conference and presentation, English for flight attendances, office English, practical training and demonstration for English language teaching, English speech and debate, etc.

 

Further Studies: attain admission through registration of entrance examination held by graduate schools (majors relevant to foreign language, tourism, management, etc.) at each domestic or overseas college and university for pursing a higher education.

Employment: job positions such as business receptionist/ counter personnel, business and sales operation personnel, international marketing staff, tourism industry staff, foreign invested company personnel, English guiding interpreter, hotel industry staff, aviation industry practitioner, English academic staff, tutorial institute/cram school personnel, foreign language publishing personnel, etc.
